From my first digital photos to becoming a professional: how it all began

When I was recently going through my old computer archive, I came across a folder that makes me smile again and again. The first digital photos I have saved date back to 2003. Among them is a series of snowy winter moments from Bovec, when I enjoyed skiing with friends and for the first time truly felt how special it is to be able to capture the right moment — one that says something.

At that time, I did not know that these shots would become the beginning of the path that today leads me to a professional photography career.

When photography found me – not the other way around

In 2003, digital photography was still “young”. Every click was considered, and reviewing the shots was almost a ritual. There were no endless galleries and countless attempts — it was a decision, a moment, a story.

It was precisely because of this thoughtfulness that I began to develop a sense of composition, light and that true spontaneity that makes photography come alive.

And although the photos from Bovec were slightly grainy and technically imperfect, they had something that is even more important today — authenticity.

From memories to service: why I still follow photography today
Today, as I develop my photography business side, I start from these very beginnings.
